A Shore dispensary ATM has to work in January too

New Jersey · Jersey Shore, Atlantic City, Ocean County · 2026-10-28

Atlantic City, Cape May, and the Ocean County mainland do not share a calendar. If your dispensary lives on summer foot traffic, say so. If it lives on year-round local shopping, say that instead.

Town names that get mixed up

Atlantic City had the longest clear retailer list in Atlantic County. Egg Harbor Township, Absecon, Pleasantville, and Hammonton are not the same place, and Egg Harbor City is not the township. Hamilton Township in Atlantic County is the Mays Landing area. It is not Hamilton Township in Mercer County.

Cape May city is not Cape May Court House in Middle Township, and it is not West Cape May or North Cape May in Lower Township. In Ocean County, the licensed places on these pages are South Toms River and Lakehurst. Toms River, Brick, and Lakewood are the larger neighboring towns.

Season and the cash in the machine

Uncertified June 2026 sales shares were 5.38% in Atlantic, 4.90% in Ocean, and 1.85% in Cape May. June is not January. A full-service plan should include what happens when withdrawals bunch up on a holiday weekend and when they do not.

The company supplies the cash on qualifying full-service placements. That is the point of the program for a dispensary that does not want its own cash sitting in the ATM. Ownership is available when the surcharge decision stays in-house. Neither one skips the location review.

Questions from dispensary operators

Is South Toms River the same as Toms River?

No. South Toms River is its own borough. The town page uses the borough name from the CRC list.
