READ THE LICENSE
Adult-use, CAURD, ROD, and medical are not the same list
New York · CAURD, ROD, medical · 2026-10-28
If you operate in New York, the ATM question comes after the license question. These pages only sort rows the way OCM published them.
What each public page is
The dispensary location verification page is the adult-use list of shops open to the public. A name that includes CAURD is called that because the legal name says so. Other adult-use rows stay adult-use.
The dispensing facilities page lists registered organization medical locations, with a county column. Some of those rows say temporarily closed. Registered organizations are the medical manufacturers and dispensers. OCM has also described registered organization adult-use, often called ROD, as its own licensing track. A medical row on that table is not automatically an adult-use store.
Rules that changed the map, not the cash plan
OCM's licensing page says the Cannabis Control Board extended provisional CAURD and adult-use licenses through December 31, 2026. A February 11, 2026 proximity law, described by OCM, covers adult-use retail, CAURD, microbusiness retail, and ROD locations. New sites after that date are measured under the updated distances from schools and houses of worship.
None of that is legal advice, and none of it tells you the surcharge. It does tell you to bring the license type when you call about an ATM.
Questions from dispensary operators
Does a medical dispensing facility get an adult-use town page?
It is listed as a medical dispensing facility in the town on the OCM address. It is not described as adult-use unless it also appears on the adult-use verification list.
