FOR DISPENSARY OPERATORS

An ATM for a New Jersey dispensary starts with your store

Placement · New Jersey, dispensary ATM, placement · 2026-10-28

Shoppers search for an ATM near a dispensary because a lot of cannabis purchases are still planned in cash. If you run the dispensary, the useful question is different. Which machine, who fills it, and who fixes it?

The market you are walking into

The CRC's August 6, 2026 meeting slides said 350 adult-use retailers and 57 medical dispensaries were licensed to operate as of August 5, 2026. The same table counted 614 cannabis businesses licensed to operate. Three weeks earlier, the July 16, 2026 slides said more than 315 medicinal and recreational dispensaries were open in all 21 counties, and that 346 adult-use retailers were licensed to operate as of July 14.

Those are statewide figures, not a promise about your town. County and town pages list licensed dispensaries from the CRC public list, updated October 2026. They are the local market. They are not a list of U.S. Payments clients.

Two ways to put an ATM in the store

Full-service placement, for a qualifying location, includes a new ATM, installation and programming, the cash in the machine, 24/7 monitoring, and maintenance. It is offered at no cost to qualifying locations. Surcharge revenue is shared on terms you agree before installation. There is no set split and no monthly income figure.

Ownership means you buy the ATM, set the surcharge, and keep the surcharge revenue under your agreement. Installation and programming are part of that conversation, and so are cash loading, processing, and ongoing costs. New Jersey is in the full-service region, along with New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington, D.C. Buying inquiries are welcome from all 50 states. Neither option is automatic because the town is in New Jersey.

What to have ready when you call

Have the municipality, not just the county. Have the number of stores. Have a photo of the door and the counter. Say whether you want full-service placement or ownership. The call planner on the contact page stays in your browser and does not submit a lead.

Questions from dispensary operators

Is an ATM for a dispensary different from an ATM for any other store?

The machine still dispenses cash. The planning is about a cannabis retailer: local license rules, a cash-paying customer, and who supplies the cash in the ATM. U.S. Payments talks about that with dispensary operators.

Do you guarantee a sales lift?

No. We do not publish income projections. Surcharge terms, if any, are agreed for your location.
